This CI cannot be published without violating the dignity and privacy of the employees of the "Manager." It is difficult to verify if the information is correct and it lacks credibility since it is based on recollections rather than the high standards of field research we expect. Buy and read this book in order to understand the appropriate approach to field research. https://www.routledge.com/The-Case-Writing-Workbook-A-Guide-for-Faculty-and-Students/Vega/p/book/9781032069869
This case disparages employees, and despite its being disguised, there are key details that will blow the cover of the authors and the employees they disparage. There are legal implications for this in terms of libel. Finally, as a former manager, I would view it unethical to share private personnel data that vilify workers and casts them in a disparaging light. Direct reports are owed their dignity and privacy when it comes to their mistakes at work and that obligation continues forever.
