CONFERENCE THEME

Are you a teacher of Business Ethics in a Jesuit, Catholic university, or a practitioner of business ethics in a corporation, who is inspired by the Jesuit tradition? Are you keeping yourself update about global trends and practices in business ethics? Are you interested in integrating ethics in various business functions? Do you endorse ethical practices in business and would like to learn about the progress and challenges that corporations currently face?

This conference is planned as the second of a series of three regional conferences: June 2017 in Manila, May 2018 in Zug near Zurich, and July 2019 in Santa Clara, California.

The purpose of this conference is to explore the challenges of doing business in an ethical manner in the modern globalized world, and the special contributions that the Ignatian tradition can bring to this task. To accomplish this, the conference is designed to enhance optimally both the theory as well as praxis of business ethics. Thus, the first day is devoted to academic exchange among specialists in business ethics. The second day is for interactions between specialists and practitioners in corporations, in the spirit of Ignatian formation. Then the third day is for selected visits, to allow all the participants to witness first-hand the ethical challenges that corporations face.

The event is co-sponsored by the International Association of Jesuit Business Schools.
