Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping higher education through new innovative tools and systems that enhance learning outcomes, reshape administrative processes, and meet educational challenges worldwide. This research study investigates AI’s impact on higher education utilizing a broad assessment of current studies, statistical data, and applicable case studies. By highlighting the challenges and opportunities, actionable insights are presented for stakeholders. This study investigates three underlying queries: 1) How is higher education globally responding to artificial intelligence? 2) What are the present and long-term influences of AI? 3) What new learning, teaching, and process opportunities are being created? By studying these questions, a roadmap for AI integration into higher education worldwide while balancing the roles of ethical stewardship and innovation. The findings highlight the need for collaboration among stakeholders. The conclusions of the study offer strategies to leverage the capability of AI while limiting the risks, making certain that AI acts as an instrument for progress and not a path for disparity.
