This course explores the fundamental sources of BI and surveys the new frontiers of data management and analytics, while introducing techniques and tools used to transform data into actionable information.

Technology and Communication at Work: Online Messages
Companies use many forms of communication to conduct routine business. However, email and digital communication has largely become the primary method of contact. The distinction for organizations in using such technology effectively, is the ability to develop messages with impact, to share messages appropriate to the audience in addition to the occasion, and establish professional excellence. This session will focus on developing quality emails, press releases, proposals, digital cover letters, resumes, and collaborating with colleagues in an online format.
Technology and Communication at Work: Speaking
Organizations are increasingly transferring traditional face-to-face methods of communication to an online format, but expecting the quality of those interactions to be excellent. However, many people and organizations struggle to develop professional presentations using online features while effectively communicating with their clients. Additionally, speaking in front of others causes many speakers a higher level of anxiety. In this session, we will discuss conducting online interactions, conducting business meetings, presenting to an online audience, and analyzing methods of overcoming public speaking anxiety.
