You are invited to learn about and co-create “BE the tipping point” (BEtp) – an IAJBS/GMI/GRLI/oikos-International initiative to transform all global business practices by transforming all global business education -- rapidly and inexpensively. The session invites you to join BEtp and to improve and expand the initiative.

Karl Weick’s “sense-making” work (e.g., Weick, 1997) is used to conceptualize and communicate BEtp’s history; use of design thinking, Appreciative Inquiry, and Theor U; current status; and possible future directions.

Key events discussed include: “conferencing our way to a sustainable world” (EAM,1997) “Leading for sustainability” (2009 World Forum at XLRI); the MacArthur Foundation’s 100&Change competitions, conferences, workshops, and research by
PRME/-HLA/Fordham/Club of Rome/MIT-Presencing-Institute/etc.

Key concepts include: “experiments never fail” (Dauten 1996), ”more than” (Putnam, …), radically transparent co-creation, rapid prototyping action research, Humanistic Leadership, the social construction of reality, ontological transformation, and others.

In walking its own talk, this proposed session is part of an evolving work-in-progress planned for seven January to July 2025 conferences… including CJBE’s July International Conference in Cleveland.
