Shifting the focus from the Gallery to the course was a positive change. Teaching business ethics is critically important and that is recognized here. What still seems to be lost is that Arthur Andersen opened the door to its ethical shortcomings itself by combining audit and consulting under one organizational heading. With so much written about Arthur Andersen, merely recognizing the importance of business ethics in 2024, or the ripple effect of influence on stakeholders, does not seem too new. Adding an element of business strategy might have added a new twist on an established story.
