A mid-level executive at a major financial services corporation was appointed to a high-powered panel. As a relatively low-ranking member of the group, and as someone who was different from the other panel members in so many ways, she knew the impression she created at the first meeting would be critically important. At the same time, she would need to present her authentic self. She wondered about choices she had in creating impressions at that first meeting.
