The Trust Dividend: Return on Relationship Investing
Dr. Anderson, Dean of the Business School, asked to review Dr. Roberts’ most recent teaching evaluations. A consistent theme emerged that matched the students’ concerns about the Student Investment Fund course. He then made a few phone calls to deans and faculty that had worked with Dr. Roberts in the past. The feedback was overwhelmingly negative. At this point, Dr. Anderson knew that something must be done to rectify the situation. He also knew that a lot was riding on his next move. Fifteen alumni investors needed well-educated Finance students who would produce a competitive return on their $750,000 investment. Those same Finance students had been promised an experiential learning environment that would prepare them for 21st century jobs in investment banking and wealth management.
