Job Description Stalemate

This is just an embryo case. The attached document is a rough description of a situation in which a university provost asked three department chairs from the same college to develop a job description for the dean of the college. It was awkward and difficult and there was not a high degree of trust among those involved. I would be eager to get guidance from more experienced case writers regarding the tenability, focus, and framing of this case.
