Safety in Numbers: Destigmatizing Neurodiversity in the Workplace through Disclosure (Embryo)

In 2017, Charlotte Valeur, a globally-recognized leader and then Governor and Director of the University of Westminster in London, United Kingdom, was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). She was 52-years-old. Although Valeur’s autism diagnosis allowed her to connect many of the dots in her past, her future was made much less clear. She needed time to accept and understand her newly uncovered neurodiverse identity. She also needed to make a decision: should she disclose her autism publicly or should she keep this information to herself?
