Splash and cash: How to pay for a city swimming pool facility?
Consideration of financial and non-financial information has been critical in considering financing options for organizations. Loan financing versus cash-funded projects with foregone interest has been evaluated within municipalities to offer the best funding options available for government agencies. In addition to financial information, the non-financial information of citizen perceptions also weighs heavy on the minds of elected officials and City staff. Government officials must rely on the expertise of budget and evaluation professionals to accurately approximate costs, interest rates, and compute financial data while taking into account public perceptions and citizen expectations.
