In recent years, the Social Economy Sector has acquired greater importance in Mexico as an alternative that provides opportunities for young people to become entrepreneurs capable of developing successful and high-impact businesses for the country, and in this way promote economic development and social welfare. In the State of Guanajuato, initiatives such as the creation of a system of technology parks in public and private universities have favored the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, however, it is unknown what is the state that keeps the infrastructure, educational programs and actions that direct this strategy with economic and social development and growth, and if it is aligned with federal public policies in the field of social economy, for the promotion of business opportunities, social, productive and labor inclusion. Preliminary results corresponding to the research that Ibero León is developing and that aims to carry out a diagnostic assessment of the social problems observed in the field of education, economic and social development from social entrepreneurship, to identify a phenomenon in the State of Guanajuato whose political, administrative and governmental implications allow the preliminary outline of an investigation in the line of university training in favor of social entrepreneurship with a focus on the social economy model. The main objective of this research project is to analyze the processes of training and linking the academic programs of bachelor, master and doctorate of some universities in the State of Guanajuato with the Social Economy Sector, identify the universities that offer these programs, describe each of these, their training emphasis, as well as identify the existence of entrepreneurship spaces for the design, development, and execution of social enterprises. For this analysis, a sample of universities in the State of Guanajuato were selected and the research method implemented to obtain the required information was based on conducting interviews, telephone calls, and consultations with the coordinators or, where appropriate, professors in charge of the academic programs, exploration of official websites of educational institutions and face-to-face visits to universities. It should be noted that this is not a statistically representative work, it is a qualitative study in which the selection of the sample was intentional, taking into account that said sample will account for the most important spaces where students are trained.
