SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: A STUDY OF THE ACTION EDIBLE GARDEN

With the development of the document "Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development", countries have committed to challenging measures to promote sustainable development in the coming years. Thus, the plan indicates 17 Sustainable Development Objectives, called ODS, and counts 169 goals. This work aims to identify concepts that approach sustainable development and its dimensions (pillars or approaches). The Sustainable Development Objectives are highlighted and presents a study entitled "Edible Garden" created by the Know how to live Project, which was developed by the members of the Business Woman Center of the Itajaí / Brazil-NuME / ACII Business Association. In order to do so, he used qualitative research as a method through a case study that used as a unit of analysis the action "Garden Eatable". We also used exploratory research with participant observation to better produce the data. The data collected were analyzed, interpreted and presented in the form of explanatory texts. The Garden Edible Action is committed to sustainable development and to promoting an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable future in its dimensions for a more just and equitable world for all. Key words: sustainable development; edible gardens; sustainable horticulture; organic products.
