Edward J. Garrity is Professor of Information Systems in the Richard J.
Wehle School of Business at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Systems (Information Systems) and an MBA from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York and a BA in Environmental Science from the State University of New York, Plattsburgh. He has published research in Datamation, DATA BASE, Decision Support Systems, Encyclopedia of Computer Science, Encyclopedia of Information Systems, Expert Systems with Applications, Heuristics, Information Resources Management Journal, the Journal of Management Information Systems, the Journal of Management Systems, The Journal of Electronic Commerce in Organizations, the International Journal of Electronic Commerce, and Sustainability and several book chapters. He has also co-authored a book of readings entitled “Information Systems Success Measurement,” published by Idea Group Publishing. His current research interests are sustainability, system dynamics and systems thinking, fisheries management, system resilience, socio-economic-political system design, social justice, information systems development issues, information systems success measurement, and the design of business and management systems.
