Dr.
Nayak is a tenured full time Professor of Strategic Management at the Xavier Institute of Management, Xavier University Bhubaneswar where he also held the position of NABARD Chair Professor. Prof. Nayak engages in research, teaching and policy advice to various organizations, institutions, UN Agencies, Government of India, and others on Transition Strategies for rebuilding Sustainable Community Systems. He uses both deductive and contextually rich inductive methods of research in his analysis and adopts action research in rural communities from a systems perspective to test his hypothesis and theories on specific ecosystems. He has published four books, two monographs, and over 80 cases and research articles. He teaches Strategic Management, Research Methodologies and Transition Strategies. Professor Nayak is an alumnus from NIT Rourkela, IIM Bangalore, Kobe University Japan and IIT Kharagpur. He has widely travelled to and lived in different parts of the world including Asia, Europe, North America and South America for studies, lectures, seminars and conferences.
