She held visiting professor positions at Graduate School of Business Administration, Fordham University and at the Tobin College of Business Administration at St. John’s University, New York. Dr. Mahsud teaches in the areas of global strategy, blue ocean strategy, and leadership. Her research tests a central issue in strategy: Why do some firms perform better than others? Her work specifically looks at strategic leadership actions in terms of policies, programs and systems with regard to firm level efficiency, innovative adaptation, and quality of human resource management resulting in a firm’s sustainable performance. Dr. Mahsud also writes in the area of institutional responsibility, blue ocean strategy, and Corporate Social Responsibility through the lens of systems thinking. Her work is published in in the Journal of Managerial Psychology, Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies, Business & Society Review, The Independent Review etc.
