Wearing Tap Shoes: Reflections on Teaching during a Global Pandemic

Students, faculty, and the world will remember spring 2020 as the semester of Covid-19. Businesses closed, students went home, and public health officials scrambled to contain, prevent, and treat Covid-19. With the goal of offering lessons for others teaching in the current environment, this paper discusses my switch to remote instruction in my Management, Leadership, Internship Practicum, and Business, Government and Healthcare the Danish Way courses at Saint Michael’s College. The paper concludes with student feedback on the semester. Learning Management Systems, asynchronous vs. synchronous instruction, course evaluation, and changes made to each course are also discussed.
