SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: A STUDY OF THE ACTION EDIBLE GARDEN

With the development of the document "Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development", various countries are committed to challengeing the measures to promote sustainable development in the coming years. Thus, the plan indicates 17 Sustainable Development Objectives, called ODS, and includes 169 goals. This research aims to identify concepts that approach Sustainable Development and its dimensions (pillars or approaches). The Sustainable Development Objectives are highlighted and present a study entitled "Edible Garden" created by a project called Saber Viver (Know how to live), which was developed by the members of the Business Woman Center of the Itajaí / Brazil-NuME / ACII Business Association. In this procedure, it used qualitative research as a method through a case study that used as a unit of analysis the action "Edible Garden". Beside, we also used exploratory research with participative observation to get data with a better result. The data collected were analyzed, interpreted and presented in the form of explanatory texts. The Garden Edible Action is committed to Sustainable Development and to promote an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable future in its dimensions for a more just and equitable world for all. Key words: Sustainable Development; Edible Gardens; Sustainable Horticulture; Organic Products.
