Dr.
Tavanti is Full Professor at University of San Francisco's School of Management and Nonprofit Administration Program Director. He also directs the Refugee Service Management Academic Global Immersion Program and the Harari Conscious Leadership and Social Innovation Initiative. He is President and co-founder of World Engagement Institute and Sustainable Capacity International Institute. He is an international expert and consultant at the United Nations and other international organizations on matter of indigenous rights, sustainable development and poverty reduction. Between 1998 and 2008 he worked with International Service for Peace the Diocese of San Cristobal de Las Casas in projects benefitting indigenous Maya refugees and internally displaced communities in the Highlands of Chiapas. He also has extensive experience in urban migrant displacements and community sustainability in the Philippines and Brazil. He has published more than 50 studies on systemic, cultural and leadership issues in connection to human rights, sustainable development and global social responsibility.
