Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What sort of resources can I share?

A: Anything that you want! Think assignments, worksheets, datasets, in-class exercises, videos, and discussion questions. The sky's the limit! We can support any material that will help educators around the world increase student engagement.

Q: What are the benefits of sharing my resources?

A: When you upload your resources, you're sharing them with a global community of scholars who are looking to engage their students and empower them to be future business leaders. Through your account you'll have access to metrics that show where your resources have been used, which can be a compelling way to demonstrate impact in your tenure packet, annual performance review or accreditation reports. You’ll also be able to leverage reviews from professors and students who have engaged with your materials.

Q: Who sets the price?

A: You do! You are always in control of your material. We offer three different pricing options.

  1. Free
  2. Fixed Price
  3. Flexible Price

Q: I don't have a lot of time. How long does it take to upload a resource?

A: On average, it takes less than five minutes to upload a resource.

Q: Tell me more about Flexible Pricing.

A: Flexible Pricing allows you to set a suggested price for your resource, but also allows under-resourced professors to use the resource regardless of their ability to pay.

Q: What are the royalties for paid for a share resource?

A: We split the profits with you 50/50. We calculate profits as what is left after an approximately 3% credit card fee is deducted from the sale price.

Q: Do I still own my materials?

A: Absolutely! By uploading material you are allowing IgnitEd a limited license to store, sell and market the material on your behalf, but your work is always in your control! You can add or delete material at any time.

Q: How will my material be used?

A:  We leverage the Creative Commons licensing system so you can determine how your work is used through Shared Resources. For more information on the licenses, visit Creative Commons.

Q: How will users find my material?

A: Shared resources will appear in the "Course Resources" section of ignited.global. Users can filter based on content type or discipline as well as a number of other options.

Q: Can I limit my resource to faculty only?

A: Of course! During the upload process, there are separate areas for faculty files and student files. We make sure that any account belonging to a faculty member has been verified to keep instructor manuals out of students' hands.

Q: Do you only offer material in English?

A: At this time we welcome material in English and Spanish.
