The topics of employee motivation, satisfaction and commitment are discussed. HR policies that meet organizational needs, are legally compliant, and are viewed by employees to be fair are examined.
ERP and Lean Basics
This course dives into the basics of ERP and Lean basics including the process related to ERP, ERP system transactions, production, and scheduling, among other related topics. For any experienced executive, the ERP and Lean Basics course will be immensely beneficial in explaining the importance of ERP and in learning practical methods to integrate ERP and DRP with Lean Enterprise Basics. This will provide some practical tools to leverage ERP to generate electronic Kanban signals across a supply chain, manage supply chain lead time in planning and execution, and reduce supply chain inventory to needed levels instead of just-in-case levels.
Ethical Values Driven Leadership
As a leader, you will face ethical dilemmas and need to understand how you consider your role in a values-driven organization when presented with such a situation. This course examines ethics on a personal and practical level and takes a structured framework to evaluate the relevant organizational cases of participants and their business.
Executive Education Seminar in Strategic Planning
The Executive Education Seminar in Strategic Planning is based on the collective experience of the experts within Horizon Strategies made up of senior military leaders with extensive leadership, strategy and policy formulation, and strategic and operational planning experience along with academic excellence, research, and graduate instruction. This synergy translates to a dynamic and challenging experience for seminar participants. This is a four-day, 32-hour seminar, that provides three Creighton University continuing education credits.
Financial Communication and Interviewing
This course is designed to develop knowledge and skills for personal financial planners, business professionals, coaches, counselors, and therapists to help them improve their client communication and interviewing skills. This course examines the practical application of advanced communication and interviewing skills. This course introduces students to:

Foundations for Grant Writing: An Introduction to Grant Writing
The entire process of developing a grant proposal holds a unique skill set including every task from finding an appropriate request for proposals to developing the project, writing the proposal, and evaluating the outcomes (Gitlin & Lyons, 2008; Beitz & Bliss, 2005). With the grant process becoming more competitive and funding less available, it is important to understand the need to be creative in researching, networking, and program development to ensure finding the fulfillment between the funder’s priorities and the proposed services (Doll, 2010).
This session will provide a practical and engaged approach to grant writing. Throughout the course, participants will bring their own ideas and begin to develop how their ideas would fit into a grant proposal. Sample grants will be provided along with discussion of the lessons learned from an occupational therapist that has been through the process of searching, writing and implementing local and federal funding.
Fundamentals of Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives
Rapidly shifting local and national demographics, as well as continued globalization, mean that organizations must embrace diversity and inclusion not only as a means to enhance business performance but also as an enabler of innovation and collaboration. Participants in this interactive workshop will gain insight and skills for engaging employees in creating a safe and collaborative work environment in order to leverage diversity and inclusion as a competitive advantage.

Every time two or more people get together to discuss anything in the workplace, an opportunity exists to either build relationships or damage them. So when it comes to discussions that require absolute clarity (feedback) and/or potentially sensitive subjects (criticism), it’s important that you are skilled enough to handle whatever comes your way, regardless of which side of the table you happen to be sitting at. This course helps you handle yourself professionally and effectively in every situation you face. Regardless of your title, there are basically four distinct roles you play when it comes to feedback and criticism, and each requires a different effort and strategy from you.
