ShopKeep currently works with over 15,000 small business owners throughout the United States and Canada. The company has experienced a lot of growth over the last few years; they have raised over 37M in financing, they have two major offices (in New York and Portland), and they employ over 250 people. Since ShopKeep uses a SaaS model, they dedicate roughly 30% (~80 people) to sales. ShopKeep is trying to figure out how to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their sales team. They believe that a good option for them is to attract and laterally hire more experienced sales people from some of the top selling organizations in the country.
